Oh. I have no doubt. You're the one who had dream sequences with her as Nightwing and a Blue Lantern. I know you have the vision.

Aw, thanks! (and don’t think I *don’t* always have a Steph as Steph on her own terms pitch, ready to go)

Shoutout to @bryanqmiller.bsky.social for writing what I consider to be the definitive Stephanie Brown. His 2009-2011 Batgirl book made me fall in love with her and made me feel seen in ways I'm still unpacking.

What would you want Stephanie Brown’s identity to be? How should she step into her own hero story after all these years? I’m curious to hear your thoughts. S  #LostGenerationProblem #DCComics

I’d love to see her develop a superhero identity that truly reflects her: hopeful, passionate, morally clear. She could be Gotham’s North Star, their Cardinal direction, guiding the Bat-Family, inspiring the next generation, and finally being Stephanie Brown, fully realized.

With @tatebrombal.bsky.social  taking over New Titans #33, Stephanie’s joining the team. This could be her chance to finally grow on her own terms, defining herself, not inheriting someone else’s legacy.

Stephanie’s story is perfect for a teen hero coming-of-age arc. She needs the equivalent of Dick Grayson’s Nightwing journey: finding an identity beyond Robin, stepping into her own role, and earning her place in Gotham’s vigilante world.

Spoiler was created to “spoil” her father’s schemes. Robin was a role she inherited when Tim stepped away. Batgirl? A mantle she took after Cassandra Cain abandoned it. She’s Batgirl now, but the ongoing Batgirl title is still about Cassandra. She’s incredible, but never herself.

I wish I could tell you, man.

Scheduling this in case the world doesn’t end… but if it does, I guess lesson plans were pointless anyway.

I may have hated her villain costume in Countdown, but there’s got to be some reason her first instinct was a pink reverse mohawk. I want to know what it is!

Mary Marvel is such a complex character whose characteristics were washed away in the New 52 reboot. Rebirth gives us a chance to finally fix that.
September 22, 2025 at 1:31 PM
I’d love to see her go on a magic adventure that crosses paths with a plethora of DC Characters (Zatanna, Constantine, Black Alice, Detective Chimp, I could go on). We could see her investigate this mystery and allow her to discover her own value beyond her siblings.
September 22, 2025 at 1:31 PM
I would love to see her go on a mission to take the lead in her family for once, but also find herself along the way. I’d love to see something like, the Marvel family has lost their connection to the wizard Shazam and, for some reason, Mary is the only one who still has powers.
September 22, 2025 at 1:31 PM
She made deals with Black Adam, she saved the Greek Gods, and got powers from them. She even had a heel turn when Infinite Crisis came around (with an unfortunate costume change. It was the 2000s, we knew better, but we kept doing it).

The first time I really started paying attention to Mary Marvel was during Countdown. She lost her powers and went on a search to get them back.
