that's simpler than I expected, thank you for sharing! and you do not interpolate anything else apart from transforms? for example if an object changes color gradually

how do you store data from different frames to be interpolated? do you just buffer the object's previous state and the renderer takes what it needs from there? or is there a separte data structure with only the data that needs to be interpolated?

That all said, game jams are always an amazing opportunity to learn. Making the same game using the same tools over and over again would be incredibly boring. So no regrets at all, just some notes for myself for the future!

If I did not understand the theory, it would never even occurred to me to do the complex thing. Or I would try it, think "oh that seems hard, I should find another way", and retreat before wasting too much time.

there is no Y or Z though, they are literally renaming it to Left Up Forward
