Just finished reading The Haunting of Hern Hall by @grpidgeon.bsky.social an atmospheric, beautifully written ghost story (give it a go, it’s a great read) and this came up after the final page. I’m sure I would enjoy reading The Hanging of Hettie Gale if I hadn’t written it 😂

According to my writing group friends I’m ‘sparkly’ and a different person since I published Hettie. It’s amazing how even a little success can turn self-doubt into self-belief. I have my readers to thank for that and I shall enjoy sparkling as long as I can ☺️

Throwback to my kitchen in Ireland 5 years ago where I was writing The Hanging of Hettie Gale. If I’d known then it would one day be published and amassing 700 reviews in just 6 weeks I’d never have believed it. I could do with that wood burner now!
