Don't forget the Canadian farmers. China is a big market for them. Nobody forces you to deal with China. It was not a smart move to follow the US and impose tariffs on Chinese EVs.

This is because they have become too complacent that they could simply follow the lead of the US. The Chinese leaders, from Deng Xiaoping onward, in contrast, knew that they would have to chart their own path.
