there is an interesting scene in s1 during which Val's voice say something like "do you really think you can change? trash like you doesn't change" to angel, who looks so defeated.
And in s2 Vox calls him a "piece of shit" and he isn't defensive when his sin is announced by Vox, he looks ashamed
