Saw a MMA canvasser at Ogilvie tonight and stopped to thank her for volunteering. We talked about how much we love transit and hate driving. Even though we may disagree on specifics I have enormous gratitude and respect for every single person fighting for transit.

If you’ve never been and live nearish I highly recommend the State Park (I usually put Devils Slide in my GPS, it’s the big dune this pic was taken from). They just opened a seasonal restaurant w a rooftop bar in this pavilion a few years ago and it is just kind of perfect in the summer.

I told my space-obsessed 7 year old this news and she immediately wrote a note for her Dad - who is working - so he’d know when he got home.
