Highlights in Network Science and Mental Disorders!
I’ve been fascinated by the application of network analysis in mental disorder research, particularly in exploring brain connectivity networks and symptom networks. Currently, we’re part of a large consortium called DYNAMIC www.dynamic-center.net,

It could've been telegraphed in advance. The fear, uncertainty, chaos, and disruption are the point.

One of the things I appreciated most about this project was the collaboration: working together with colleagues from different backgrounds and disciplines to translate clinically meaningful questions into methodological designs. Thanks a lot to the entire team!

Using network analysis we go beyond depression severity and focus on the specific role that symptoms may play. Taking the interdependencies between symptoms into account, we could reveal three symptoms to be uniquely predictive of remission: retardation, hypochondriasis, and suicidality.
