I grew up in an affluent part of the country in the 70s and 80s, and had many Jewish friends, and many of my dad's colleagues and friends were Jewish, and I had sort of reverse assimilated, in that I just didn't think antisemitism was a live issue. The last few years have been, uh, enlightening
