Happy Ramadan my friends! During this holy month, those who celebrate will come together to pray and give back to others through kindness and generosity. No matter what are your beliefs, Ramadan provides an opportunity to honour the values of compassion, gratitude & family.

"Many of those who now accuse Israel of genocide stood on the sidelines when Syria’s dictatorship smashed Aleppo to rubble and yawned when Myanmar’s generals mowed down pro-democracy demonstrators or razed Rohingya villages."

Very interesting. However, the main problem with basic income is the scale. Pilot projects work. But what happens if it is extended in the whole country? Especially in a time where inflation is still a risk.
Fresh basic income pilot results, this time from Arlington, Virginia where 200 people got $500 a month for 2 years. The findings:

Employment INCREASED by 16%, and their incomes from paid work INCREASED by 37%. The control group saw no such gains.

Education isn't just about acquiring facts; it's about developing critical thinking, fostering curiosity, and cultivating a lifelong love for learning. It's the foundation upon which we build our understanding of the world and our ability to navigate it successfully. That's why we need liberal arts!

I suppose it's OK to display a rotisserie chicken on the label of a "chicken bouillon concentrate" but presenting it as a "suggested serving" clearly violates the second law of thermodynamics.
