The phrase "silence is complicity" is used in relation to a lot of topics. Trans rights is no different.

I respect that point of view. It's not the point of view I have, but one thing we agree on is that people disagree!

Know those days all too well! Hope that today is a less stressful one.

But if that's the journey you're on, perhaps you're not yet the right person to be in the leadership team of a party that is pro-trans? Leadership is, in part, about role modelling behaviours. A pro-trans party should have leaders role modelling pro-trans behaviours, in my opinion.

Think simultaneously agree and disagree on this. I disagree that neutrality makes some kind of metaphorical wall - for me, the wall is an active thing, not passive. I do agree that there needs to be tolerance because agreement on all topics is nigh-on impossible, and also people's views do change.

Important point for me is that people who stay neutral and aren't vehemently anti-racist, anti-misogynistic etc. are enabling the people who are the perpetrators of this hate. The same principle to neutrality being enabling applies here, doesn't it?
