I forgot MN probably still does preliminary hearings for complaints. So they have to have that hearing also. Check pacer for actions/hearing dates in the cases.

The government can request a detention hearing and being the government is currently run by assholes they are going to request detention. That means if the defendants are lucky it will be held tomorrow. If not they get to spend the weekend in custody.

Seriously, you would be practically laughed out the the AUSA's office if you brought this case. There are thresholds to what the charge. I cannot believe this would be charged anyplace....maybe Fargo.

In a normal world since the SC already ruled it is protected these officers would lose QI.

Public officials and peace officers are entitled to qualified immunity unless they knew or reasonably should have known that the action taken within their sphere of official responsibility would violate the constitutional rights of the plaintiff (Harlow v. Fitzgerald [1982] 457 U.S. 800).
