The roadworks will continue until traffic improves.

Time for a facelift.
September 6, 2023 at 9:27 PM
So you’re saying it’s all made up and the points aren’t matter?
September 6, 2023 at 5:58 PM
Pretty Patrick would approve.

Twitch is AM radio, only instead of calling in, you’ve joined an IRC channel to participate.

Pointers for reading material?

I don’t know. I’m a little split on this one.

Good idea to design the opening with a loose tolerance.

It’s doing it’s job if it’s causing others to stew just a little bit.

The other thing to do is figure out what’s the right height & seat depth for you. One of the things you pay more for is adjustability. Knowing what works allows you to shop the budget chairs. Avoid gamer chairs. Look for office/task chairs. Shipping is a big part of the price so try and shop local.

For that budget, I’d highly recommend looking for used/surplus office furniture if there’s such stores in your area. You can find some amazing deals. And you’ll have a better time trying things out.

What’s the realistic budget?

The additional markup for “clean designs” is usually because the clean designs com from board partners who often have to charge more because of how little margin the chip makers leave their board partners. EVGA left the market partly over this kind of competition disparity.

For GPU’s I’d make a case that the shroud is an usually an important part of heat distribution via controlled airflow. Many times the shroud is not designed well cause the marketing team got ahold of it. Same with backplates. That naked pcb look is really only achievable in low power boards.

Headcannon: This skeet was inspired by a casual glance at a mirror that stopped you dead in your tracks.

More of this please. Affirmation is such an under used platonic complement.
August 27, 2023 at 4:44 PM
Oh it’s 100% had its context change over the years and situation. I think it’s a pretty neutral term most of the time. There’s been a pretty strong push to play how you want to play for PvE content. I personally see it used negatively by toxic trolling & shock-4-clicks content (like YT thumbnails).
August 27, 2023 at 4:42 PM
I say it’s never too early! Cut through anxiety by asking as soon as you /know/ you’d be interested in another date. This is super effective while still on the first date.

Don’t play the waiting game. It’s outdated, toxic, and just puts needless pressure on both of you.

IIRC “scumming” & “save-scumming” come from roguelike communities pre-SCUMM. It was more gatekeepy than derogatory in the early years. It was usually considered an exploit for leaderboards or achievement posts. I’d recommend searching early usenet for research. Or BBS archives if you can find them.

I really curious know what the signal loss and distortion is like…

I wasted so much time with Risk and Cannon Fodder though…
August 26, 2023 at 5:33 PM
Fair. While our rates are at an all time low & new booster incoming, I could still see us hitting another 1.1m US deaths in under 10 years. One breakout variant could put us back into Covid being the 3rd leading cause of death. Calling 1.1m as misinformation seems overly harsh without rigor.
August 26, 2023 at 5:23 PM
I think the problem was a lack of sufficient amount or correct type of padding to catch the actuator arm. So when returning to the rest position from fully extended it was hitting the catch too hard. I believe when parked and off the arm was sufficiently protected. I might have that wrong though.
August 26, 2023 at 4:32 PM
Did you model for potential changes in the death/day rate? Like if we keep the same rate of increase over a year? Velocity vs acceleration vs jerk and all that.
