Daily writing prompt Write about your dream home. View all responses Is there ever truly a “dream house,” or is it always a work in progress? I ask myself that often. In my mind, the ideal home is expansive and full of possibility—five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a den, a gym, an art room, a game room, and a massive garage. I picture a pool, a garden, upper and lower decks, a BBQ pit, and even three secret rooms. And honestly, that’s just the beginning.

Imagine a deck overlooking a river that flows into a lake. Secluded by trees and surrounded by a beautiful flower bed on each side, it offers a peaceful retreat. The warm summer sun shines down as I relax in this shaded area at the top of a park, listening to the birds and feeling the gentle breeze. This is my lookout point—a small, lesser-known spot at the back end of the park where I come to think.
