The Second Army Area is investigating an explosion that injured a Thai soldier during operations near Hill 469 in the Chong Bok area of Nam Yuen district, Ubon Ratchathani province, on Tuesday morning, amid lingering tensions along the Thai–Cambodian border. Earlier reports described the incident as a mortar attack. However, the Second Army Area has not confirmed the type of weapon involved, saying only that an explosion occurred and that the cause remains under investigation.
