I’m the face in the crowd no one sees. Liberal, progressive. A negative optimist. I’m behind you in the grocery store. I sit next to you at the doctor. I am your neighbor.

Consider the comparison between GW Bush and our current nightmare’s Christmas address. You may question Bush’s sincerity yet it remains a kind, encouraging and appropriate message. It reflected the dignity of the office.

It’s been suggested we stop paying taxes. I don’t want to give this dictator a dime. Yet, not paying taxes would hurt us even more.

Despite massive cuts at least some taxes will continue to go to what people need. All or nothing thinking doesn’t capture reality.

Thought for the Day…

We’re hard wired to pay more attention to the negative and focus on threats to our survival.

Our brains don’t easily separate physical survival with survival of our spirit. My spirit feels crushed. That is counter productive.

It’s time to get ahead of our own stories.

It’s imperative to set aside our emotional response to what’s happening. Our focus needs to be on doing what we can to reduce suffering.

A certain amount of liberal outrage is coming from the right.

It’s in their best interests to cripple the opposition with despair and incredulity at the insanity of this all.

Stay sane and soldier on. We can defeat them. We can’t stop believing.

There’s enough evidence to impeach, try and convict these sly fools of a laundry list of crimes.

We don’t need even a shred of evidence more. We need to develop the power to convict.

Are we rapidly reaching a tipping point in which the lid blows off and reality finally makes headway.

Or are we going to continue to maniacally cycle around the Trump inferno as we wail and gnash our teeth?

This got old before it started.

More educated women, mean more educated children and whole societies move forward. That's not true for men. That’s not an accident—that’s patriarchy terrified of women who can think, earn, and lead. Educate women, and you don’t just lift families. You rewrite the future. #MomSky

Shock creates headlines. It fuels more non-productive outrage.

Righteous anger, focused on protecting the victims has always made more sense but it requires effective action. It’s our moral imperative.

Yet, most sit with mouths agape and watch. Pitchforks and torches go nowhere.

The details have become irrelevant.

A dictator, a law breaker, a racist, corrupt man and his cronies don’t belong in a democracy.

The fact that they are in power demonstrates the severity & complexity of life in this regime because that’s what it is. That is what must be destroyed. All of it.

The most moment Trump entered politics and found support this nightmare was inevitable.

Instead of constant shock, we need to understand why, how and the who.

Then we work like mad to destroy the roots of this madness.

This article is most useful in highlighting the dismissals of such warnings. Big question is why? Normalcy bias? Not being vulnerable?
