Quite an exceptional ensemble set with the rainfall mean virtually flat lining throughout the GFS 12z run. Currently looks like the generally dry theme continuing well into April.

Had 0.2mm of rain today with no more rain to come in March it will finish an exceptionally dry month at 2.2mm. A dry sunny weekend to come perhaps some early cloud Sunday. Highs 14-16°c tomorrow, 16-18°c Sunday. Dry sunny and turning increasingly warm next week, cool nights.

With skies clearing this evening and overnight could see icy stretches develop. Also sleet and snow showers will skirt Norfolk and east Suffolk overnight and tomorrow morning. Could give some small accumulations and ice risk. Two separate warnings in place.

Cold front slipping south signalling the change. Although the much colder air doesn’t get into the south until late Monday / Tuesday. Chance of any laying snow across the region next week is very low but wintry showers possible Tues - Fri. Will be monitoring for any higher risks.

After no significant rain for a month in many parts of the region we now have a Met office weather warning for tomorrows heavy rain.

Stronger gusts of wind will start to ease back over the next few hours albeit remaining breezy with gusts 30-35mph. Perhaps the odd spot of rain but generally dry with good sunny spells 23°c. Winds ease overnight but rain by early tomorrow now looks likely to last into lunchtime.

After the lull in winds this afternoon, we’ll see a similar sort of day tomorrow. Some showery rain tomorrow morning pushing through with further gusts of 35-40mph. Strongest winds will once again be further north away from the region where a Met Office warning has been issued.

Showery rain did quickly move through this morning with those stronger gusts of wind between now and early afternoon. First widespread persistent rain for several weeks (for the region) on Friday night/early Saturday.

Showery rain is heavier than expected this morning particularly for Norfolk, it is moving through quickly on the brisk winds. Gusts of 40-45mph possible for a time this morning easing during the afternoon. Generally cloudy, perhaps brighter late in the day 21°c.
