The internet is a bad analogy for Gen AI. The internet is an infrastructure that corporations worked to leverage. The Gen AI industry is more akin to a battle of Office Suites (Word Processors, Spreadsheets, etc.). Companies are developing their flavors of a common product type.

The side view mirrors create more drag. These aren't airplanes or F1 cars. It's just esthetics. The mechanism is an unnecessary complexity as well. The more complex you make a device the more likely it is to fail.
