Congress did not wish for war. Yet raising support over the years, and pressing the country nonstop, President Roosevelt got the United States to join. Speaking for the Red Cross, his sons out as officers. With the US entering the war, Roosevelt saw a fourth term to see it through.

With a rundown on Taft’s presidency, we come to everyone’s favorite Bull Moose. Feeling betrayed by Taft after assisting him in being elected, Theodore Roosevelt was ready to face off with him for the 1912 nomination. With some worried Taft would draw them into war, Roosevelt won it.

To make matters worse for President Taft, he had also been seen as responsible for further dividing the Republican Party. In short, he had become the opposite of beloved Roosevelt, his public figure becoming synonymous with taking money from those who were stood up to prior.
