Trying out GitHub Copilot. So far I'm not very impressed. For example, I have a ton of compilation errors in the terminal, but Copilot is blind to them. When I ask it to fix code issues, it rarely does it in a way I approve of. How are others getting good results?

I think I need to give up on SoundCloud. It's a pity because I like their content and have trained their algorithm to know my tastes, but they seem to be failing. Android Auto hasn't worked for a while now and all my attempts to contact them have been ignored.

FT Alphaville is undefeated. The disdain for Altman is palpable and deserved.

This year's Swedish moose migration is live streaming until May 4th. It's wonderful to have on in the background while working

Last night I dreamt I was at brunch with friends and the restaurant was serving shrimp ice cream topped with whale. Searched it and discovered fish ice cream is a thing in Japan. Now I want to make it (without whale), eat it and also visit Japan!

My unpopular idea is that vehicles should be taxed by weight. This would incentivize smaller lighter cars that pollute less from their tires and/or tailpipes, and do less damage to roads and most importantly to people.

2024 was the year I started opening the NYTimes app and clicking to the games before the news could load. Towards the end of the year I think they caught onto this and changed it, so now everything loads so slowly that you don't need to see the news unless you really want to. Thanks @nytimes.com!

These new chain of thought models like o3 remind me of my developmental psych course from undergrad (supposedly, since we don't know how the models work internally). We covered an experiment where people had to find an item placed in a basket in a rectangular room with baskets in each corner. 1/

Super weird copy on the Duolingo year in review. Are we supposed to be afraid of their mascot owl? Is he coming to get us? Has he been subtly hinting at the violence he'll inflict on us if we break our streak?
