Bit of a catch-up post: I was on Xitter as Lichtenbergian for a long time, decamped to Mastodon (still there), and am exploring here. If you think you remember me from the Old Times, you probably do. It's good to see so many of you!
An etching of 18th-c. physics professor Georg Christoph Lichtenberg: a man in a periwig and full coat and cravat smiles slightly and knowingly at the audience

I used to worry about Cecil the Pest™ licking me after I came in from the labyrinth, but he's always been so idiotic that what could a little DEET hurt?
a handsome if dimwitted tuxedo cat licks the remnants of insect repellent from his father's skin; he claims the lemony taste is irresistible.

I don't understand why I see things so differently. I see a health insurance industry that thinks it's entitled to charge people 1/3rd of their income for healthcare. That industry shouldn't be "fixed." It should be burned to the ground and its ashes pissed on.

You can celebrate anti-Prime *and* Banned Books Week by ordering either of my books from Bookshop: bookshop.org/beta-search?...
The cover of "Lichtenbergianism: procrastination as a creative strategy," by Dale Lyles. The main title is to the left, vertically. The subtitle is at the top; the author's name is at the bottom. In the center is a graphic suggesting a to-do list, with the top three items struck through and the bottom one checked. The cover of "A Young Person's Guide to Lichtenbergianism," by Dale Lyles. At the top, the title. An etching portrait of the German physicist Georg Christoph Lichtenberg is on the left, halfway off the cover. A speech balloon has him saying "Procrastination as a creative strategy!" A scribbled note with an arrow identifies Lichtenberg. The author's name is in the lower right corner.

Well, that's easy, then: bring charges against him. Take him to court. Go to trial. Go full discovery oh wait...

This box of votive candles has been sitting in the living room for a month rather than making it back to the labyrinth because the cats take turns claiming it as a throne. I finally steeled my soul to take it away from them.

I can't believe I stayed up as late as I did waiting for that phone call or email or whatever it is to let me know I won.

That moment when we're tempted to think our first effort is enough — #TaskAvoidance gives us the distance to apply #Gestalt to what is actually an #AbortiveAttempts, thus proving: #CrasMeliorEst. #Lichtenbergianism #postcardquotes
A collage with various blacked out texts, and some cautions to the artist not to ABANDON the work too soon.

The demonization of our fellow transgender *human beings* enrages me. If you are walking around thinking about and/or actively trying to destroy the lives of transgender people, you are not only evil, but have entirely too much time on your hands. Go scrub the floors of a homeless shelter, ffs.

Wife: Why haven't you taken out the cardboard to the trash?

You might very well think that, but I could not possibly comment.
