Wealthy people who just live like that all the time have no way to comprehend how much cognitive load having money relieves.

Sometimes I spend hours worrying and planning and trying to figure out work-arounds and then I realize I can solve a problem by throwing money at it. Having the means to do that is fairly new to me and not something I’ll ever do instinctively.

Especially because they don’t actually leave. The rich a-holes said the same thing when Massachusetts introduced a “millionaire tax” and more of them live there now than before the tax.
