I hear a lot of people say “good shines brighter than evil” but it’s fair to say we’re all out of heroes. There’s no leader in this resistance. All the money has been consolidated. I don’t find optimism in aphorism. Hope lies in ours actions, there are few left, the next battle defines our future.

It’s an important time to remember that your communities can be your sanctuaries. Find a support system, connect with others who understand you, and try to find joy in the things you can control. It will be a long 4 years otherwise.

The Supreme Court hearing today on transgender youth having access to medical care will be pivotal in the future of trans rights. It’s important to remember that regardless of outcome we have always and will always be here—and all we want is to be free to live on our terms.

As a trans woman I am truly exhausted at being scapegoated for PR clout while legislators cover up disgusting behavior from their colleagues. Meanwhile, these same ppl haven’t tried to do anything about the real problems everyday families are experiencing.
