Yeah, it’s similar for sure. Being able to generate fakes off interfaces with something like github.com/maxbrunsfeld... makes it really nice and easy to fake receiver responses without needing to instantiate the struct.

Absolutely do what’s best for you and your team. Personally I’m a fan of interfaces for two major benefits. Generating mocks for unit tests and having factories that create variations of the interface implementation based on feature flags or other context. The idiomatic finger wagging does get old.
