From the very beginning the story pulls you in and never lets go.

I absolutely LOVE using my library for all my books and audiobook needs. I do not have a lot of money to blow on a hobby, so I found a good way to support my community, my library and my reading habit! The library has a ton of resources and I always check there first for audiobooks I want to listen to or books I want to read.

As a comfort author and not knowing what to read, I picked this one up on a whim.

Reading Goal: 50 Books. Reading is supposed to be a marathon, not a sprint. I feel like I am always rushing through books because I wanted to hit high goals and "keep up with the Jones'". This year I want to take my time with the books I want to read, remember the plot, and enjoy the stories more. Reading Goal: I will be doing another ZERO spending year again.

I thought a mid-month update might be fun to share. Just some random babbling... I was consistently reading every single day, but also reading at a slow pace. It took me what felt like forever to finish my first book of the year. Yes, I am taking my time and not rushing through books this year... but still, lol. I have not been feeling well, and have been more stressed than usual, which is probably contributing to all of this.

This year I am going to try to focus on getting series I started finished up to publication. And more than likely just keep better track of series I have ever started in my reading journey and decide if I want to keep reading them or not. I was looking over my reading stats since I started tracking them, and this will be my third year spending no money on books. While that sounds absolutely insane and not doable to most people, I assure you that it's possible. I am not the type of person who HAS to read a book the second it's published. I have been making use of my local library for most of all my reading needs, and just put myself on the wait list as books I want to read are coming out.

My yearly goal was to read/listen to 100 books in total.
