The haters like to say AVATAR is just FernGully or Pocahontas but I don’t recall Grandmother Willow telling her girl to kill all colonizers. I guess Eywa’s just built different.

Finally catching up on some Letterboxd entries. First up, ZOOTOPIA 2 which is... very good! My seven year old daughter gave it two big thumbs up, my five year old boy thought it was too scary and "I didn't like the mean ones." I think we'll call that a thumbs up too! #filmsky

It's...okay.
Interesting for how it was made but results are mixed. Shots are pretty samey, not much punch. Functional performances but the dialogue sounds like lines from a script; I never believed in the characters. One nifty motorcycle chase. Not terrible but hard to recommend.

Years after turning down my invitation to see it together, a friend finally watched EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE and loved it (as I knew he would). I used the occasion to revisit EEAAO myself. Spoiler alert, the movie still slaps. #filmsky
