Honestly my second favorite of the six Peter Jackson films. It's an unusual position, I know, but it's exactly what I wanted from the Hobbit movies.

I'm working on a sequel to a book I haven't published yet, so yeah, it's a genre I've written in before.

I'm very excited! This will be what gets me to finally read The Silmarillion after having read The Hobbit and LOTR over 25 years ago.

My two-ish (not-asked for) movie takes: FOTR is the best book, and the best movie. I never wanted the GDT Hobbit movies and I mostly like what PJ did with them.

Adam Savage talks about making a maquette for the new skyhopper. When George saw it, he apparently said "The only reason we made the T-16 look like it did is because we only had plywood and no time." Adam's supervisor later told him, "George didn't like anything about this. I guess, just keep it.'"

It's obviously not the same as having a physical book, but the e-book is surprisingly affordable.
