I write about things.

Today, I want to vanish back into quiet streets, thick heat, and slow days. I miss being in Yucatan.

Some levity.

I’m wheezing!

My cat bleps like it’s her job.

I dunno. This just resonates with me.

I mean, 9 times out of 10, I seem to encounter life bullshit the most while I am inconveniently at work. So, may as well be paid for the tears.

My reason for today. The kid that made me Mum.

There was a typo in my last post that I couldn’t let stand.

Anyway, I found some zen at a used bookstore.

Here’s my find for the day :)

My thoughts on the Bloc are complicated, especially having lived in Quebec, but this makes me laugh.

This is beautiful.

Majestic Moo.

Late to the meme goldmine regarding the Pope passing away after JD Vance’s visit, but this is too majestic not to share. It’s likely made oodles of rounds, but I don’t care. I’ll share it, too. I am laughing so hard it hurts.

I still wish I bought this book when I saw it. I feel like my collection is just perpetually falling short of truly magnificent without this.

Absolutely flawless

Over an hour in line at an advanced polling station today for Canada’s federal election. I can’t go on the actual election day.

Sure, I’m hurting now…2 weeks post-op is a bit soon to be up for that long. But this election is too important.

Worth the wait. Worth the aches.

The part of me that still lingers in Catholic land gasped when I saw this.

The utter heathen I am today laughed riotously.

Today’s inspirobot creation.

Managed a very short walk, today. Progress!

Given how slow I’m moving, I definitely got to enjoy the flowers.

All this reads as, to me, is that they can’t bring back a corpse.

It’s terrifying to consider the possibility that Kilmar’s been gone for a while, but I can’t shake the thought.

My cross-eyed fur baby looks both dumb as bricks and super judgmental, and she is perfectly divine.

Today’s inspirobot creation.

Seriously, this is the level of disconnect I need at this point in my life if I intend to stay sane.

Recovering from surgery.

Finding joy in good music, a caring partner, and inspirobot.
April 9, 2025 at 6:27 PM
In the haze of recovering from what turned into a drawn out surgery, I stumbled on this lovely protest sign in my various drug-addled scroll sessions, and it must be shared.

The first film I remember seeing him in was The Doors, and being blown away.

I’m sad to hear that Val Kilmer’s passed away.

RIP, legend.
