Thought I'd take some time to get myself a better logo animation. The static one I was putting at the end of my videos before was okay, but I needed a "wow" factor.

An updated test with a full feather groom and wrinkle map. I'm still on the fence as to what color the hero's coat should be. What's a good bird pattern you think of as "heroic"? Bonus points for non-raptors. #animation #paleoart

Im getting really excited with my progress! Here's a little test for the main rig for my #Caltigara series, even if the model is otherwise unready. The lips are going to remain muscle-less in the final story, but I wanted to show the range.

Happy #PortfolioDay! Most of my popular work is animated, but I have a few still images here that will work as well!
I'm a 29-year-old amateur digital generalist with a love of #sciart and dinosaurs.

I swear, I've been really busy! A huge amount of art and story is on the way. In the meantime, here's a quick look at the species that make up a majority of the cast of my #Caltigara story. Our name is Anthroporaptor. Theirs is Thyrokhys.

Hopefully, this means what I think it means.

Hey artists, post some art you made from before Bluesky!

#ArtAdventCalendar Merry Christmas!
I want to deeply thank everyone who has supported me this year through likes, shares, and donations. My little #Sketchasaurs have gone a lot farther than I'd hoped, and it's given me the courage to go even bigger next year for art and Sci-comm.
Keep at it, heroes!

Man, I really should have planned this whole thing out better, huh?
Day 24 of #ArtAdventCalendar
The last day before Christmas was way too busy for me to make anything really good. Tomorrow should be wide open, though, so expect something nice!
Until then, here's another old sketch.

Day 23 of #ArtAdventCalendar
Another sketch regarding my "dinosaur hunter" project from earlier this month. It's older, but I remember really liking the dynamics of the poses, and it makes you really think about how a man could take an Acrocanthosaurus 1v1.
A silly idea, but a fun one to draw!

A post of mine got 3k likes this year, and I want to thank you all by going bigger and better next year. I posted some other WIPs already and am working on another big one, but maybe I should ask you all more directly.

Day 22 of #ArtAdventCalendar
Again, nothing properly planned or made today. Here's an Oviraptor for your troubles. #sciart #paleoart

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 21
Here's me still obsessing over yesterday's picture. Now coming soon in 3D!

Day 20 of #ArtAdventCalendar
You know what? Screw it. I think I know what my big project next year will be. #DarkFantasy #Prehistoric #Dinosaur
The day after a mysterious explosion, a chance discovery by the curious changes the course of prehistory.

Day 19 of #ArtAdventCalendar
A piece from early 2017. The title was "Holocene", but the college zine I sent it to published it as "Hollow Scene".
I studied science, but did not go to a science school, clearly.

Day 18 of #ArtAdventCalendar
I was hoping to work on a more pertinent project, but I decided to cool off with this to avoid burnout. Lookdev for another project I posted here (Can you guess which one?), made entirely in #Blender3D with procedural nodes. #NoAI #FantasyArt

Day 17 of #ArtAdventCalendar
Another #Sketchasaur test from 2024. Still trying to find the style (and still in 48 fps for some reason), but I knew I wanted to explore all areas of prehistory with it and bring up some more obscure animals. Didelphodon just seemed like a good bet. #sciart #paleoart

Day 16 of #ArtAdventCalendar
My first tests for a #Sketchasaur short from 2024. A lot of the parts were there, but A) I wanted to see what it looked like at 48fps first (the full shorts are in 12), and B) I didn't think about what a page interaction would look like for another year.

Day 15 of #ArtAdventCalendar
A little late, but I am hoping to get something nice for you guys by Christmas. Only ten days to go, but it IS coming along nicely. Here's a little teaser.
It looks a little sketchy, no?

Day 14 of #ArtAdventCalendar
A throwback to 2016 for one of my first real attempts at 3d sculpting and texturing, naturally, all done in Blender. I've absolutely gotten better since then, but the college kid in me still appreciates some of the details around the feet and joints.

Day 13 of #ArtAdventCalendar
Today was really busy, and I had no time to search my drives and find anything big, so here's a sketch of Rhamphorynchus, a gull-like pterosaur from Jurassic Europe with a classic spaded tail and needle-like teeth.

Day 12 of ##ArtAdventCalendar
No real story attached to this one. The left one was made in 2011 and is probably the first photoshop project I was really proud of. On the right is a semi-remake made ten years later in Blender.

Day 11 of #ArtAdventCalendar
Another of my more ambitious projects was centered around future tech called "Hologen", a type of programmable matter that we develop physically, then biologically, mentally, and, eventually, sub-atomically. An anthology would cover 10000 years of radical change.
December 11, 2025 at 11:54 PM
Let's not be strangers. I want to get to know you guys and share some of my cool stuff!
