People often assume captivity means suffering. But for disabled birds, care isn’t a prison — it’s continuity. With the right environment and support, these lives can still be full and meaningful.

Loving the sunny days lately ☀️ they fill me with hope and optimism. This year has started miserably, with the loss of my dad, and my brother’s Leukaemia returning. My birds have been my lifeline during these tough days, but I wish my murder was nearer… they always made everything feel better. ❤️‍🩹

Life with a new puppy has been an adventure, keeping me busier than ever! Hard to believe it’s been two months since I last visited my crow friends—far too long. Planning a visit soon and looking forward to reconnecting with them.

Crows (and most corvids in general) are smarter than you think. They solve puzzles, use tools, and even remember faces. Sharing a moment with one of my own (disabled) rooks – their intelligence never ceases to amaze me.

In folklore, crows are seen as ‘omens’ or ‘watchers’, and being close to them sure feels like stepping into that story. They follow me like shadows, their sharp eyes catching what I might miss—nature’s quiet guardians, always curious, always present. #Crows #Folklore #Nature
