I just got a notification that DoorDash will be delivering my Uniqlo order. I cannot stress how upsetting that was to see. Really makes me reconsider buying from Uniqlo in the future...

Reminder: Tariffs aren't paid by other countries.

They're eventually paid by us at the check out line.

And they're regressive — taking a higher percentage out of the paychecks of working people than out of the wealthy.

@skylight.social Is your app asking people to put in their Bluesky account password to log in? I tried the early access app and it just says I need a Bluesky account and then asks for a handle/email and password. That's not implying I give an unofficial, 3rd party app my Bluesky login info... right?

The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific.

If you know anyone who is impacted, please help them get online to get their benefits approved

The US Administration has been extremely generous over many years, & it is within its rights to decide what it supports, and to what extent.

But the abrupt cuts in funding from the US are putting at risk decades of progress in various health programmes across the world.

Do you know how much CEO pay has skyrocketed since 1978?

100%? 500%?

Try 1,085%

Meanwhile, the $7.25/hr fed. minimum wage hasn't budged in 15 years and the tipped min. wage has been $2.13/hr since 1991.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

When Republicans are in power, they rack up giant deficits, mainly by cutting taxes on corporations and the wealthy.

Then when Democrats take the reins, Republicans blame them for being big spenders.

It’s always the same story.
