The squandering of $368 billion on #AUKUS puts the RAN under US command an control - making Australia the US forward base in it's hegemony against China, the US nuclear waste dumping ground and a nuclear target.

Criticism of the 'dud #AUKUS deal' comes from all sides of politics. Former PMs, Keating ("worst deal ever") and Turnbull ("one-sided mugging") slam it.
It is and always was Morrison's master plan to wedge Labor. It was never conceived to be a defence strategy.

The other side of the #AUKUS folly's ledger which is rarely spoken of: Massive ongoing costs, sovereignty loss to US hegemony, risks of entangling Australia in US wars (e.g., Taiwan), nuclear waste storage and the ceding of command and control of the RAN to the US navy.

Don't ever forget that #AUKUS was conceived by Johnson as an act of revenge against Macron for his stance on #Brexit. It was never conceived as a defence strategy. Morrison and Australia were used as unwitting patsies by the UK.

By destroying our budget to pay $368billion, we get three US subs under US command and control and we've become the main US forward deployment base in a US war on China, our major trading partner. That should turn out well.

We've seen this before. The blurring of politics and policing, leading to Trump-like vendetta's against non-Right-Wing individuals and political parties.
Seen again within the #NACC where the NA-CC Commissioner will not countenance laying charges against Right-Wing politicians.
