Case in point…the Dept. of Ed. is planning to get rid of half of their workforce. The few thousand people they fire won’t care whether the government is shut down.

That's fair. Though it feels (still from the couch) like it's been the MO of the team for a number of years, under different OCs and QBs. Maybe it's a philosphical thing for Tomlin.

I agree with you, but I will also say that they need to find an OC that will design an offense that uses the entire field. From where I sit (i.e, my couch), it seems like they ignore the middle of the field. Sure, it might be riskier. But the throws are easier and the rewards are greater.
