A lot of these alleyways have been gated off on both sides, I assume to stop antisocial behaviour (which having lived down this way previously I never saw or heard of) and it's given them this eerie abandoned look and feels in the middle of a residential area.

The UK has a manufactured housing shortage while tens of thousands of buildings are empty, just so the smallest and most expensive new homes can be built to fleece as much as the developers can. The lack of social infrastructure around these new homes is a whole other ball game as well.

It's an Audio Technica , not super cheap but wasn't that pricey either. It's nice and compact considering the space we have and can be wired to stereo or Bluetooth to speakers
