Anyone here has experience with licensing their designs for merchandise? A friend of mine did some designs for a museum here that were initially used for display and now the museum wants to license them to create postcards. How does the licensing agreement work? Is it a flat fee or that + royalties?

It's the little details that make it work. Putting her hair to the one side to make it appear like it was falling down really sold this illusion, doing a lot of the heavy lifting for the "shadow" -- which looks more like what it is, some fabric.
