I had the old Street Fighter 3 Manga, and remembered liking its artwork, so when I finally researched Karin's origins I was pleasantly surprised. And yes her dad looks a lot like Heihachi who might be nods to Edajima Heihachi from weekly Jump manga Sakigake Otokojuku, not 100% on that.

With the physique I think super shredded to super fat is the ultimate contrast! (helps I like muscular ladies too!) but I've always felt canonically most of the Street fighters are pretty buff. So i want to lean into it whenever I draw Capcom girls!

My guiding light for how I see Karin these days/and the weight gain Sequence was the Sakura manga from the 90s (the one Karin was created from before Alpha 3)! She's just so expressive I love it. I enjoy the eybrows and way she's drawn a lot she is so intimidating here
