This book is a window in history. The story of James may be fictional, but historically accurate. It made me sad, angry, uncomfortable and reflective. How wonderful it would be if schools included true American history instead of the whitewashed version I was taught. A must read 💙📚 #BookSky #BookTok

I’m glad I read Her Radiant Curse first, otherwise some things wouldn’t have made much sense in this book. This book on its own was ok. Adventure, magic, sense of purpose to keep the story going, a triangle of… crushes(?), easy reading. 💙📚 #BookSky #BookTok

I enjoyed it. The FMC was awesome. Some of the side characters were kind of incomplete. Maybe those few characters will have more relevance in the next book. Easy read. PG adventure with concepts of romance and some magic. 💙📚
