I realize the reason why I love The Old Religion is because it the build up sounds like a demo I wrote back in March.

Sometimes I feel like I’m not worthy of getting comms done cause I’m so new and small.
Why should I spend all this effort and this other persons time when it might not get either of us anywhere?

I have to say, The Old Religion on the new Florence + the Machine album is one of the best songs I’ve heard this year.
And I know Aaron Dessner when I hear it. Wonderful tension and intensity, such a beautiful song.
