Only for thoughts about Bradford City.
Wigan manager going on about us diving all game - other than Metcalfe, when did that happen? We'll ignore the keeper going down (which all teams do), and the time wasting, which everyone does when winning, but at 0-0 in the first half? We'll ignore the sheer volume of fouls they committed. #bcafc

Not a great watch - first half poor from both teams. Lovely finish from Humphs may have been the only real bit of quality in the first 45.
Thought we were much better until we got ourselves in a real tangle and then was concerned until they finally went too far with their "on the edge" discipline.

Big chance to put 6 points on the board over the next few days. I expect a bit of a rotation across the next couple of weeks to keep us fresh. It will very much depend on how each player fits against the opponents. We should be beating Wigan and Port Vale at home, but Boxing day is notorious for

Not posted about the weekend yet. Felt like it was all about misses chances and not from the source you'd expect. Not going to get at Sarce, he's saved us enough times, not his day, or ours. Fair play to Orient. We never win there, or so it seems. Onto the next one. #bcafc

Should go full of confidence tomorrow to a place we have not had much recent success.

Halliday should keep his place, though I fancy Neufville to come on for a cameo and make a statement. (If needed!)

Fancy there will be a surprise or two in the next few games as GA tries to keep the squad fresh

The best performance for a long while today. Thought we were OK in the first half, gave them their only chances with some weird passes that were either really poor decisions or really poorly executed, but the tempo was much better.
Second half we were excellent. Reading barely got a look in.

Would take another scrappy 1-0 to keep the points ticking over, but would love to come away buzzing like after those first few games. We should never take 3 points for granted, so not going to moan about it, but I would love that to stop some fans from acting like we are relegation favourites.

The squabbling about tickets really is painful. I don't go to away games, so why would I expect to get a ticket for Town? I don't think there's a perfect system - there will always be things that hinder someone and favour someone else, but as long as it is fair for most, I'm good with it. #bcafc

Humphrys is quickly becoming the Smallwood scapegoat replacement when things aren't going well. Fans have heard something and when we aren't playing well, it must be the reason. FWIW, if HA was insisting he plays straight down the middle, then I agree it would be wrong, but he's given free reign to
December 6, 2025 at 5:22 PM
Thought we deserved that on the whole. Not perfect by any means but any chances that they got, we gave them. Don't understand the mentality of our fans. Over achieve and then give everyone stick for not being that good all the time. Keep plugging away. #bcafc

I may be in the minority here, but I didn't think we were that bad there. A couple of dicey moments at the back, but created a couple of decent chances.
Stats don't tell you everything, but more shots, more on target more touches in their box feels OK to me. Three points are there for us. #bcafc

Didn't expect Kelly to start. Think pushing Wright forward and Touray to LWB makes sense and Metcalfe can play a more familiar CM.

Cook illness takes that option away and if Plymouth aren't going to play out, Humphrys is probably a better option - thought he actually did OK last weekend. #bcafc

Who plays at the back will be interesting tomorrow. Play Byrne (probably) and shift Baldwin to the middle, play McIntyre in the middle and leave Baldwin on the right (not sure) Wright is fit so plays (don't know that this is wise regardless).

Don't know what Plymouth's approach at the back

#bcafc not going to overreact. Tonight was not a night that our season died. Still, I'd prefer to see players that are looking for minutes in the league to step up when they get a chance. Not sure anyone did that tonight. Let's see what Saturday brings.
December 2, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Not sure what to make of tonight. Winning is always a good thing, but would prefer not to have extra games. I would start Cook and see what he does, he needs minutes more than anything else. Bobby might as well play so that someone else can rest for Saturday. Do you try 3-5-2 from the start to see

#bcafc a lot of talk about Cook at the moment. My feeling is that, GA built his squad in the summer not knowing when Cook would be back (and how effective he would be when he did) my worry is that we try to change specifically for Cook. We've had success playing a different way and Cook can't do

Three points are three points. You don't get more for the Town game than for this, so it's job done, but it was hardly scintillating. We had a spell where we looked really good in the second half when Exeter, inexplicably, started trying to play out from the back. We were pretty solid up to going
November 30, 2025 at 9:05 AM
Excited for tomorrow. Don't think Exeter are going out to play, but I think we'll have more of a plan for it, especially if Sarce is fit for 90 minutes. Like the extra passing range of Baldwin which hopefully stops Power from dropping too deep to get the ball. Up front is going to be interesting.

Happy with a point, both teams had chances - Bolton's mainly in the first half, ours in the second.

Can't complain about effort or work rate, just need something to drop for us in front of goal to get us going. Yes a bit of quality missing in the box, but big picture, we are well placed. #bcafc

Quite like the options that this line up gives us. Could switch between 3-4-3 and 3-5-2.

Worry that Patto loses a little bit of something playing right sided, but like that he doesn't have to worry about defending as much and that could allow him to really drive forwards.

Big game tomorrow. Bolton should play a bit of football which means we can go back to what we are good at. I don't think Bolton will change for us. They are playing well and on a run, so why would they? That plays into our hands a bit, but we've got to execute and take our chances. Definitely got a

Just listened to the GA interview for his 2nd anniversary as manager. I can't put into words how happy I am that he is the manager of my club. There is so much to like. Results are one thing - that's what's allowed him to stay long enough to be able to talk about is like this, but it's not that.
November 14, 2025 at 8:45 PM
#bcafc It's a little concerning, the way we've given this away, but equally, if you read the # on the other place, you'd think we'd just sealed relegation.
November 11, 2025 at 8:53 PM
My biggest bug bear in football - the goalie going down "injured" so that a team can have a tactical discussion with the manager. Like a timeout in NFL.

Listening to Take Me Home. Can't always say I agree with Paul, but Mark Bower is excellent (and love Jamie Rayner - we are very lucky to have him as a local radio presenter). Perspective is the perfect word. It's fine to question and it's fine to criticise, but perspective is very important. #bcafc
