On my way out of the Ann Frank Museum, a mother was explaining to her daughter the importance of the museum. She said, “…that’s why we need examples like this, so they will never be repeated again.”
Then the daughter asked, “But why’d she [Ann Frank] have to be the example?”

Visited the Ann Frank Museum earlier today. That hit hard. I had read the book in high school, seeing everything in person really made a connection. A tragedy is just a story until something makes it real for you.
