An ancient and proud tradition. Not an affectation.
In fairness, one of those blind characters was fridged to advance a sighted character’s storyline. You think he’d be happy with that one.

I’m not a consultant. I’m a leftist and a Democratic voter.

Because unlike too many, I actually want to make the world better. Not just smirk as I sell out the vulnerable people who depend upon us.

You got what you wanted - Trump in office. Hope you’re happy now.

No they cannot.

Want public hearings? Vote in the midterms. Democrats literally cannot do anything from the minority.

Seriously - she ran on one of the most progressive agendas ever.

And yet, too many on my side decided she wasn’t good enough, so we might as well have fascism. “Smug” doesn’t begin to cover it.

The only smug I saw was those promising never to vote for her, even though actual fascism was the alternative.

You either voted for Kamala or supported Trump. You can try to justify that support all you want now, but we see through it.

True enough, although I suspect the writers would have wanted to push Klingon stories anyway. It’s too interesting a character to stay on the sidelines, especially with his strong performance.

Careful - conservatives don’t like the Statue of Liberty anymore.

MAGAts are triggered by that, too.

Between “bury your disabled” and biological essentialism, SNW is a deeply regressive show in many ways.

Which pains me to no end.

They’re trusting their own privilege to save them from the consequences of voting.

Not everyone is as lucky as they are.

You recognize it won’t make a difference, so it sounds like you’re looking for empty political theater.

I’d rather just elect more Democrats can actually get things done.
February 9, 2026 at 1:33 AM
It seems like the ask here is for meaningless political theater, something more about making us feel good than actually doing anything.

They forget-If you wait to vote until you get all you want-you may just lose all you already have. Life is full of imperfect choices, voting against him was never one of them.

The GOP didn’t listen to the right wing until the right wing made themselves essential.

Every time you promise to vote against Democrats, you convince them that the left isn’t worth listening to. You throw away our advantage and silence our voice.

It’s the “when did X get so political” gang, where X = any artist or TV show that’s been blatantly political from the jump, e.g. Springsteen, Star Trek, etc.
February 8, 2026 at 11:42 PM
That would mean we on the left have to actually support the Democratic Party.

The right learned this lesson long ago; vote every election, every office. Make yourself essential & you can control the agenda.

Every progressive that withheld their vote in protest silences our voice. We must stop.
February 9, 2026 at 12:17 AM
Exactly the opposite.

People who “just can’t bring myself to vote for her” handed two of the last three elections to the GOP.

Look in the mirror when you rail against ICE now - you did this.
