I reckon Aldi called their stout "Mulligan's" because it makes you want to have a second go at pouring it. State of this.

Agree on Brauhaus Bönnsch: nice, but a bit sterile. The Paulaner Salavator Wirtshaus has a great schnitzel menu. And I liked Gasthaus im Stiefel, up the street from the Beethoven house. It has Kostritzer on tap.
