Maybe this'll sit wrong, but I've been catching up with Larry David's schtick and think the Elmo thing is funnier than before.
I feel even worse for Wil Wheaton, who has been hurt enough that some sorts of humor are intolerable.
That said, he blew up over a puppet and shouldn't've. 1/2
