I think he was susceptible to these right wing talking points because he is Islamophobic. He started looking for media narratives that affirmed his point of view about Muslims and they probably slip in some anti-Black Lives Matter, anti-trans, anti-woke bullshit. He practically just skims headlines.

His class privilege makes him think anything left of center is as dangerous as anything to the right of center. What he doesn’t realize is conservatives are always moving further to the right faster than the Dems are moving to the left. So people both sides issues the center skews to the right.

He’s a cautionary tail. He started out as a yuppie liberal but as his net worth grew he disconnected from the rest of humanity, and became out of touch. He started (both sidesing issues) internalizing the talking points of his conservative friends. To a rich man, a socialist is as scary as a Nazi.

We might not, but we are definitely going to get a lot more information than we’ve ever had before, it may take a while to get everything. And it’s driving Trump absolutely insane, which is accelerating his declining physical and cognitive health. Nothing is going according to their plans.
