Are we just going to keep increasing the police budget until we have to cut other services like libraries, as some cities have done. Where’s the line where we say, “Ok chief, you’re getting a 10% cut like every other department, figure it out.”

Defund as in “get rid of” was never going to happen nor was it the real goal imo. My question is where is the line with the police budget? If we’re looking at less federal funding and potentially lower tax revenue, do the cops just keep getting more money every year? (1)

Ben made quite an impression at UF, but alas he has been gone for a bit. By impression I mean spending roughly 10x the amount as his predecessor, giving his Senate cronies jobs at more than double the salary of the previous employees, and requiring an investigation by the state Auditor General.
