first of all, i have a newsletter! i keep things ostensibly writing-focused, but it's all terribly informal and sometimes just about my cats. here is the latest email i sent, which happens to also be a year in review. i'd love it if you subscribed!
god, what have you done?
i may be a pink pony girl, but you won’t catch me dancing at the club. i will be in bed.

That's what my instinct suggests

It's been a real annoying thing always but it's worse since I started needing to wash my hair in cold water. I swear a lot before I can pin my hair up and turn the hot water up.

The single vent in my bathroom is a return on the north wall of my house. The corresponding supply vent? Through two doorways on the south wall of my house. It's also directly below a defunct electric wall mounted heater so they originally knew the bathroom needed heat. But no. Ambient heat only.

You are far more optimistic than I am, but we'll see. Upper Deschutes is at only 7%, and most of the state is no more than roughly 1/3. I'll be surprised if we get a killing frost here before the end of the year based on current forecasts.

Yeah, not having snowpack gets real catastrophic in the summer.

These temperatures make me deeply uncomfortable and unsettled. We should have had a killing frost at least six weeks ago and instead it's 60f.

i kinda think it's a taste that doesn't taste describable to a lot of people, so they just equate that with nothing. does that make sense?

Same. I suspect I must be in the very top end at roughly one (or more) books per day and my eye reading speed is up there with you (I reread on audio to savor things sometimes because it's so much slower). I also don't steal books.

My mum had been planning a cross country move and had pared her belongings down a LOT before she died (the gallow's humor joke is that mum was going to move to live near me but she died instead), and also had zero expectations we keep anything we didn't want.

Every time you share a photo that includes this table, my heart fills with weird nostalgic joy that you're still photographing things on this table all these years and miles since I first started reading your blog an unspeakable number of years ago.

Nothing to be sorry about, new covers for older stuff is still awesome.

It's SABLE! No T. Coined by wendyknits in the aughts, in the high heyday of knit blogging. I am there with you on multiple stashes.

mine cost about twice that, about a decade later than your ring (i think), and technically I bought it, and also it was definitely not considered expensive at the time (which, wut. such a scam!)

our household probably did at one point, but that was back when there was a lot of family, many of whom are dead now.

When my dad was a kid, he broke a pair of glasses on the way home from picking them up. Apparently Grammie was PISSED.
