Mononoke: Hinezumi (Movie): Complete ✅

As good as the previous movie!

I still have the same gripe that the exorcism/fight isnt as cool when it's drawn out, but it's still fun, and I liked it better this time. Plus it didnt make me motion sick this time, and I even watched it airborne ✈️

It was really funny and enlightening seeing the context of sooo many classic internet memes.

The one that caught me off guard the most was watching the dramatic scene of Frodo almost getting caught by the eye, to then suddenly see him strike the pose 😂 totally blew my immersion for a sec

Watched this with some friends in 1-2 hour chunks over the course of a couple weeks. This was great and has aged well and I totally see why it has such a long-lasting following.

but also, despite my complaints, full respect to the artist for the large assortment of different outfits this guy goes through regularly instead of wearing the exact same thing all of the time. i could never.

ive never found myself invested in any isekai series for long but the drastic shift in this man's wardrobe compels me to keep reading this series just to see if they ever go back to letting the guy dress a lil slutty again and i think this is by far the most skin theyve let him show in 100 chapters

D.N.Angel (Manga): Complete ✅

*Definitely* felt of the era. Initially dropped the anime a few eps in long ago bc it didnt feel phantom thief enough, but the spirit was def there. The living art thing was interesting. Plot felt unclear at times but the end msg was nice

If they pull a clark kent in the next chapter instead of dkj being able to tell exactly who this is on first glance or at least use his brain and put together the context clues to figure out I'm gonna be annoyed

the giorno art for the new mobile game preview is good so i dug it out from the website lol

Usually im actively avoiding isekai when browsing anime, but with the manhwa ive taken a different approach for some reason, and have mostly been peeking at some popular isekai/rewind/regression types... I'm blaming ORV.

I genuinely started this one for the cats and dragon on the one cover photo

Reading No Home and starting ORV manhwa last year inspired me to pick up more manhwa this year.

Cocoon (Movie): Complete ✅

This looked really lovely from the trailer so I decided to watch it with some friends for a movie night... it was beautifully done, and i knew it was gonna be rough going in... but man 😭

Would definitely recommend watching this, but will trigger warn for attempted SA.
