just deployed my latest upgraded Laravel project. I went from php 7.4 to 8.2 and laravel 8 to 11. Shift helped a lot, so did my team. Can’t say enough about the importance of having a test suite going into these upgrades.

almost finished upgrading a large laravel 4 php 5 project started in 2014 to current laravel 11 and php 8.2. Tools like rector and larastan make this much easier than I expected. Having good test coverage though was secret sauce to upgrade with confidence.
