Providing a chair (especially a rolling one!) is a huge deal for me. I have POTS and have brought my seat cane along so I have a place to sit, but rooms with seating always win my heart.

This!! This is the thing we find when designing for accessibility. So many solutions benefit more than the group that requires them. I always give the example of curb cuts, because it’s so tangible, but there’s a lot around how we run meetings or classes that can uplift everyone.

I am one of the women who got fucked by this when trialing Ambien (WOW did I hallucinate and do a lot of things I didn’t remember). And then I learned a lot of women were reporting these side effects clinically, and then I learned the drug wasn’t tested on women.
