It was initially introduced by the INC across the country and they promised it won't be mandatory. Under the far-right bjp government, they started linking it with every basic scheme and pretty much made it mandatory now.

Are you nuts? Aadhar literally ruined the lives of many welfare recipients, in some cases leading to deaths!

Aadhar has been a gift to data scrapers if anything and instrumental in building a surveillance state. It was again introduced by a centrist govt and was opposed by leftists during that time

I was forced to get the Aadhar card because without it I couldn't even get a debit card. Anyone who says IDs like this won't be mandatory is a fool.

The common opinion in India now is that Aadhar has an enormous waste of money and has made us a lot less safer.

I don't think anyone likes the idea, but it absolutely does happen, sadly. Most shit parents don't know they'll be a shit parent until they're a parent. Lots of blokes just walk away. Women generally can't.
