What a wild series of emotional states
It was a weird thing when Allie Brosh disappeared from the Internet and I deeply wanted to know that she was okay but also knew that that desire was probably part of the reason that she disappeared. So when this book came out, it was equal parts relief and revelation. I'm so happy it exists.

One of those books that you read and go, "I didn't know this was allowed! You can do this?" Absolutely decades ahead of its time.

A lot of people know Robert Shearman from his Doctor Who work (he's probably one of the five best writers of Doctor Who in all time honestly) but he's also an absolutely amazing short story writer.

Wild how much this niche music history absolutely changed how I look at the world but oh boy is this a wonderful, mind bending and very fun book.

The best balance between the early wacky Stephenson that feels fun but a little weightless and later dense stuff that I think kinda drags.
